First off, the room was spotless, had views that really added to the experience. The staff, they were attentive and seemed like they actually wanted us there, which is rare.

The shower had some issues with operating properly, and there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail regarding cleanliness after our first night. although I appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee, I found the breakfast service a bit slow, especially on a busy day. Parking was a bit cramped, shared with diners and guests, which made it a hassle at peak times. Next time, I’ll definitely consider changing my expectations regarding dining based on the weekend traffic. Despite these small drawbacks, I enjoyed my stay and would return for the lovely setting and friendly staff.

But hold up – £15 for a bacon sarnie felt a bit cheeky, and when we popped in for dinner at 8:40, the kitchen had already shut up shop at 8:30. Plus, the sheets had a whiff of bleach.

The Deluxe Double Room was a spacious gem, featuring a double-ended bath and separate shower, complemented by thoughtful details like fresh milk and quality teas. Breakfast was substantial and cooked to perfection, while the bar offered a charming ambiance with a good selection of ales. access to the property was tricky for those with mobility challenges, and the kitchen fans were noisy until late evening.
